And that might be all, instead of the planned twenty.
The reason is that eReader has been delivering an unacceptable response rate and now I’m getting Service Unavailable.
I will end this for today and do the regular ten tomorrow.

So much for Auto-Da-Fe and all the rest of his work. Do any of the people who run ebook stores actually read?

A depth-gauge name, to see how deep ebooks go. Looks like my paperback copy of Exit Sherlock Holmes will have to be razored and scanned.

Kindle isn’t invulnerable after all. No Ed Wood, Jr. and now no Eddie Bunker.
But the asking price for this ebook is highway robbery.

The subject of the cult documentary The Stone Reader is poorly served in e. The ebooks.com listing Microsoft refers to has no file format or price!
And how can Fictionwise have it in MobiPocket format when MobiPocket claims not to have it at all? See what I mean about these ebook search engines overflowing with Suck? Writers will starve to death because their works can’t be found and bought!

That is just absolutely disgusting! Do they expect people to get into Dune by offering only the worst book in the series? Or did they figure the book was so bad, no one would want to pirate it? And are they serious with that hardcover-like price — or simply insane?
Even worse, I came across a listing for a book called The Secrets of Frank Herbert’s Dune — which is listed as No Longer On Sale. What does that mean? What if I still want it (I do!). Do I go looking for a pirate copy because some eejit company decided it was too much bother to take someone’s money for it?
